Ermarean Beatrice Bryner passed away Friday, May 22, 2020. She was born December 30, 1924 in Laverty, OK. to Main Samuel and Lettie Marie Chasteen. She grew up in Chickasha, OK. where she attended First Baptist Church pastored by Wallie Amos Chriswell. During WWII she met the love of her life, William Penrose Bryner, Sr., while she was a USO hostess for soldiers in Oklahoma. They would take walks together, even in the mist. They would go to the movies and play penny-anny at USO headquarters. After 36 months in the army he returned home. On Christmas Day, 1945, she met him at the train station in Oklahoma City. They had a big celebration with the family but not before he proposed in the car on the way there. They married January 6, 1946 and were together for 56 ½ years. They moved to Norman and finally to Oklahoma City. They raised three children: Gayle Bryner, Bill Bryner, and Debbye Bryner. She had three grandchildren, Jeff Bryner, Anj Bryner and Malissa Cox. Her great grandchildren are Kylie Bryner and Karson Bryner. Ermarean loved to cook, sew, and play with her grandchildren. She was a kind, caring woman and adoring wife, mother, and grandmother. The family would like to thank Apex Hospice for their love and care. They would also like to thank Dr. Lance Garner (interventional cardiologist) for giving the family 15 years longer with her. We will greatly miss her until we see her again resting in Our Fathers arms next to her husband, daughter, parents, and siblings. Services will be 2pm Friday May 29 at Tulakes Baptist Church with interment to follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery. Donations can be made to Tulakes Baptist Church, 6715 NW 50th St. Bethany, OK 73008.
