Eugene Gibbs went home to be with his Lord on Jan. 6 at the age of 79. He was born on Nov. 3, 1936, in OKC and graduated from Central High School in 1954. Gene worked in the book and magazine industry for 48 years. He was an avid golfer who was always happiest on the course at Cedar Valley with his buddies. A lifelong OU fan, he spent countless Saturdays with family and friends supporting his Sooners. Gene is survived by B.J. (his wife of 58 years), sons Ron, Bob, David and grandchildren Lauren and Bryson.
