Frieda M. Smith passed away on September 2, 2026 at the age of 88. She was born on November 30, 1937, in Lookeba, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur & Agnes Lowry, her husband of 52 years, Vernon J. Smith, and her sister, Thelma Rollins. Frieda married the love of her life on March 27th, 1965. They had four children, Kim Clinton and spouse Greg, Misty Dalke and spouse Jeff, Michael Smith and Michelle Koosma. They have 12 grandkids, Jamie and Steven, Niki and Michael, J.D. and Rebecca, Andrew, Thomas, Rachel and Landon, Lindsay and Trevor, Brittney and Culley, Aubrey and Jeff and several great grandkids. Frieda worked as a payroll clerk for Safeway / Homeland stores for over 25 years. She spent her life being a military wife, mom and grandma. Viewing will be 12pm-5pm Friday, September 4, 2026 at Bill Merritt Funeral Service. Graveside Services will be 2:30pm, Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Memorial Park Cemetery.
