Gerry W. , passed away November 3, 2012 in Norman peacefully in his sleep. He was born July 11, 1946 in Morgantown, WV. He married the love of his life, Cherie Hovatter, on June 20, 1974. He came to know the Lord while attending Graceway Baptist Church and loved to hear the Word of God. He was a loving husband, father, brother, papa and friend. Gerry is preceded in death by his wife of 28 years Cherie Hovatter, mother Dottie Hovatter, father Frank Hovatter, brothers Larry & John Hovatter and grandson Maximus Patterson. He is survived by his two daughters Terri Patterson & her husband Homer, and Mary Zangri and her fiancé Paul Curtis; son Gerry Hovatter, Jr.; 7 grandchildren, Matthew & Mason Patterson, Jennifer & Joseph Zangri, Gerry Furman, Nicole & Lucas Hovatter. Gerry is also survived by his two brothers Eugene & Frankie Hovatter and other numerous family. Services will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, November 8, 2012, at Graceway Baptist Church (1100 S.W. 104th St.) with interment in Lakin, KS.
