Gertrude Elizabeth Lentz

Trudy was born on January 3, 1939, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Leonard and Catherine (Perry) Randall. She was one of eight children and grew up in Bethany, Oklahoma. She graduated from Putnam City High School in 1955 before later attending Central State University.

Not long after high school, Trudy married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Charles Lentz. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and creating a home where everyone felt welcome.

To know Trudy was to know unconditional love. She always made time for the people she loved, whether that meant making a grilled cheese sandwich or a bowl of Raisin Bran for a grandchild who stopped by, braiding hair before school and countless softball or basketball tournaments, or simply sitting together to watch cable TV. She had a gift for making everyday moments feel special.

To her grandchildren, she wasn't just Grandma Trudy—she was their safe place. If they could make it across the yard to Grandma's house, they knew they were protected. Her home next door was a refuge where they always found comfort, laughter, and someone who was firmly in their corner.

She was endlessly caring, always thinking of others before herself. Whether checking on a sleeping grandchild to be sure they were comfortable with a fresh cup of water nearby or reminding everyone in the car to "Be quiet—I can't see," Trudy showed her love in countless little ways that her family will never forget. She also had a special place in her heart for animals, often leaving bowls of water or milk outside to care for any creature that might wander by.

Trudy was a talented and creative woman who enjoyed painting pottery, sewing, thrifting, and antiquing. She lovingly baked countless birthday cakes and sewed Halloween costumes by hand and was one of her family's biggest supporters, spending countless hours cheering from the stands and volunteering with the Piedmont Sports Association. She also loved traveling to the mountains of Colorado and spending peaceful days at Lake Eufaula.

Above all, Trudy's greatest joy was her family. Her generous heart, fierce protectiveness, quick wit, and unwavering love shaped generations. The memories she created—from simple meals and braided hair to laughter-filled afternoons and steadfast support—will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Catherine Randall; her beloved husband, Charles Lentz; her daughter, Cindy Keith; her grandson, Kip Keith; and her brothers, Allen Palmer, Charlie Randall, and Jeff Randall.

Trudy is lovingly survived by her son, Jesse Lentz; her siblings, Donny Randall, Gerald Randall, Carol Wallace, and Rhea Cook; her nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

A viewing will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, beginning at 9:00 a.m. at Bill Merritt Funeral Service, followed by the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Altona Cemetery
