.On May 27, 2017 Helen Watson Bell of Oklahoma City passed away with quiet dignity. She was 94 years old. Helen was born on September 23, 1922, in Caldwell KS to Jean and Earl Mitchell. She was predeceased by her parents and husbands, Cecil Watson of Loyal OK and Ben Bell of Oklahoma City, two sisters, Earlene and Betty, her brother Earl, and a daughter, Shirley Eubank Derrick. She is survived by two sisters, Bonnie Armstrong of Kingfisher OK and Jean Troutman of Caldwell KS, two daughters, Ceil Yowell of Piedmont OK and Patti Gallaway of Frankston TX, a step-son, Sidney Watson of Yukon OK, twelve grandchildren and lots of great and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Helen was a longtime member of Eastern Star and had a long career in the medical community in Oklahoma City where she worked as an LPN for many years for Dr. Sterling Crawford. She retired from Deaconess Hospital where she worked as an Emergency Room Nurse. Helen took her nursing duties very seriously. We were told many times by her colleagues that she was so efficient and dependable that the Emergency Room doctors would ask for her by name when they came on duty. Helen loved to fish and never went fishing that she didn’t bring home a catch, often to the bewilderment of seasoned fishermen. She was small in stature and often caught fish so big she could hardly hold them up.The family would like to thank Centennial Hospice Care for their help during her transition
