02/15/1949 – 09/26/2025
Jack went to be with his Heavenly Father on September 26, 2025, at the age of 76. Jack was a cherished husband, son, and brother whose warmth, kindness, compassion, humor, and generosity touched all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Born on February 15, 1949, in Sentinel, Oklahoma to Harold C Alexander and LaRue (Allen) Alexander. He grew up surrounded by Family and friends in Rocky, Oklahoma until family relocated to Midwest City when he was in the second grade. He was a proud graduate of Midwest City High School (Bombers) and OSU where he forged lasting friendships. He was a Boy Scout, Eagle Scout, and a draftsman with Star Buildings and NCI for 42 years. He served in the US Navy as a Seabee. He rode and competed in cutting horses with his father and met many people through the Central & Western Cutting Horse Association. He enjoyed dirt bikes and later did some back road traveling with Kristine on their Harley Davidson. He was a big advocate for rescuing dogs, and we had many over the years.
He met Kristine in 1977, and they married April 22, 1978, at noon. Yes, 89er day. Through his future father-in-law, he accepted the Lord into his heart and served his Lord faithfully. He often stated it was the best thing he could have done.
Jack will be lovingly remembered by his spouse, Kristine K. Kelso-Alexander, mother, LaRue Alexander of Midwest City; brother Terry Alexander of Midwest City; sister LuAnn Alexander of San Diego, California; and brother Jeff (Kristin) Alexander of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and many nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his father, Harold C Alexander. He will be greatly missed by his church family, co-workers, and many friends. His faithful buddy, Roscoe, will be lost without him.
A celebration of Jack’s life will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at Bill Merritt Funeral Home, 6201 NW 39th Expressway, Bethany, Oklahoma, beginning at 2:00 p.m. Friends and loved ones are welcome to attend and share their memories.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of their choice in honor of Jack’s life.
Jack’s legacy of love, compassion, and dedication to his Lord, family, and friends will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
