Jack Duffy

Jack passed away on September 24, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. Jack was born in Dallas Texas but spent the next 40 years in Kansas City, Kansas. He volunteered and served in the United States Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theatre on an LSM-90. After returning from service he enrolled at Kansas University where he graduated with a degree in Zoology as well as meeting and marrying the love of his life, Betty Ann Hilts. They were blessed with four daughters who they moved from Kansas City to Oklahoma City in 1966. This Kansan embraced all things OKIE except foregoing his loyalty as a lifelong KU Jayhawk. From fishing to bird watching, from bike riding to gardening, he put his sense of humor and quick wit into all he did. In his 93 years of life Jack touched countless lives with his kind and giving heart but nothing meant more to him that his family, and “his girls.” Jack is preceded in death by his parents, his daughters Jennifer Ann Duffy, Kathleen Duffy Buchanan and his wife Betty Ann Duffy. He is survived by daughter Susan Duffy Fisher, daughter and son in law Joyce and Donald Payne, son in law and wife Mike and Suzanne Buchanan. Grandchildren; Aaron and Karina Fisher, Jeremy Payne, Stephanie Payne, JJ and Emily Buchanan, Beth and Shane Mitchell. Great grandchildren; Cooper Duffy Fisher, Toby, Jasper and Grayson Mitchell. Funeral services will be 11am Tuesday September 29, 2015 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church 1900 N Portland, OKC.
