James Howard Hampton

James (Jim) Howard Hampton, beloved husband and father went peacefully to meet his Heavenly Father on December 9, 2016. Jim, as he was known to all, was born to Paul Clarence and Irma Lone Lowder Hampton on June 28, 1931, in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Jim married the love of his life, Donna Mae Hedges on January 14, 1951. He was a CPA for many years in the Warr Acres and Oklahoma City area. With Donna by his side, Jim was active in both his civic community working with The Boy Scouts of America, Kiwanis and Salvation Army as well as his church where he served for many years as Deacon and Elder. He is survived by his wife, Donna of 65 years, sons: Bob (Debbie) Hampton, Bruce (Laura) Hampton, Steve (Ginger) Hampton, and Daughter-in-Law Dianne Hampton, as well as Grandchildren; Shauna (Rushell) Rucker, Brian Hampton, Adam Hampton, Emily Hampton, Chris (Rebekah) Hampton and Matthew Hampton. Also by Great Granddaughter, Tuesdey Rucker. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Paul Hampton, sons, James Howard Hampton Jr., Dennis Hampton and great grandson Davin Rucker. Memorial Service will be held at Putnam City Christian Church on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 10:00 am, with interment in Rose Hill Cemetery.
