

James Paul Phillips, age 88 passed away peacefully on Thursday January 6th, 2022. He was born on September 8th, 1933, in Sacramento, CA. to Paul and Helen Phillips. Jim was married to Mary (DeLuca) Phillips in 1957 until her death in 1980. Jim remarried on January 16th, 1981, to Bonnie Kathleen (Douglas). Jim is survived by 6 children Linda (Ray) Bowling, Jim (Peggy) Phillips, Nancy (Rodney) Nelson, Paul (Susan) Phillips, Riley (Rebecca) Green. Jim is preceded in death by his sister Pauline (Jim) Daniels and his son Kelly Green. Jim had 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews and with countless friends across the world. Jim was in the Army from 1953 – 1955, then worked as a mechanical engineer for the remainder of his career at Honeywell, until he retired in 1995. While working for Honeywell Jim worked on projects for the International Space station, Night Vision googles, and designed the first New England Patriots logo. Of all the amazing things that he has completed in his life he wanted to be remembered as a great woodworker, as well as the fact that he enjoyed everything outdoors.
