Jenny Lynn Diaz, age 76, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024. She was born December 22, 1947 in Chickasha to Lloyd and Laquita (Bowers) Johnson. Jenny graduated from Grant High School in 1966 and opened a beauty salon with her best friend, Phyliss. After graduation Jenny married her high school sweetheart, Clyde Lawrence. Clyde was killed in Vietnam in 1970. In 1972 she went to work as a Flight Attendant for American Airlines. In 1983 she met her late husband, Col. Robert Diaz. They married in 1984 and enjoyed 26 wonderful years of love and travelling adventures before his death in 2010. Jenny’s final flight has departed, and she will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Loyd and Laquita Johnson and husbands. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Joni Johnson; nephews, Cole and wife Chrystillin Johnson and Kyle and wife Annie Johnson; great nieces and nephews, Brantley Johnson, Landon Johnson, David Zurraff, Makaila Zurraff; step-children, Jason Diaz and Olivia Nix; step-grandchildren, Lila Grace Clifton and Bodi Nix; as well as numerous other extended family and friends.
Visitation will be 5pm-8pm Friday, March 29, 2024 at Bill Merritt Funeral Service.
Services will be 10am Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Bill Merritt Funeral Service.
