On September 16, 1936, Jerry Mack Price was born in Oklahoma City to Lawrence and Mary Price. As an adult he resided in Bethany, Oklahoma, where he selflessly served in various roles throughout his community, primarily within his local church. He generously volunteered his time and energy teaching children’s Sunday school, driving buses for children’s ministries, and leading AWANAS curriculums for the church.
In 1956, he graduated from Central High School, and he immediately enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he proudly served aboard the USS Lexington as a United States Sea Going Marine. H regaled many a story about his time overseas, having deployed for 6 months in East Asia. Upon completion of his tour, he returned to his home town of Oklahoma City and became a loyal employee of the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, where he dedicated 38 years until his retirement.
He is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 52 years Sharon Price, Michael and Kamila Price, Springfield, MO; Darren Price, Bethany, OK; Chris and Kristina Young, Cape Carteret, NC; four grandchildren Colby, Avery, Eliska, and Oliver.
