Jimmie Carole Meder, age 81, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2024 in Oklahoma City. She was born January 15, 1943 in Maywood, California to James Ellis and Opal Laverne (Stephens) Dulaney. She graduated from Putnam City High School. Carole went to work at Western Electric where she met the love of her life, Myrl Meder, and they married on September 7, 1962. She was a collector of miniatures and American Girl Dolls. She loved to travel (she had a permanent “go” bag) and spend time with her family, especially going to Branson and Colorado. Carole was also a huge dog lover and had many Pomeranians and Yorkies in her lifetime. She was a very loving, giving and kind woman who would help anyone in need. Her generosity and selflessness knew no bounds and she will be incredibly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Linda Roy.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Myrl Meder; children, Kenny Meder, Chrissy Shivers and husband Jeff, and Derek Meder and wife Stephanie; grandchildren, Kody Meder, Lacey McLane, Brandi (Justin) Garrett, Michael Harrison, Megan Holden, Ethan Meder and Landon Meder; 6 great grandchildren; as well as many other family and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, March 18, 2024 from 10am-8pm at Bill Merritt Funeral Service.
A Celebration of Life will be held 10am Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Reflection Church.
Interment will be 2pm at Ft. Sill National Cemetery.
