Jonathan Stewart

Jonathon “LJ” Stewart Passed away peacefully on January 30th 2022. He was born on August 4, 1967 in Talihina, OK. He was a member of the Choctaw Nation Tribe and a Military Veteran. In August of 1984 he joined the United States Army. During his time he did a tour to Desert Storm in 1991. He served for a total of 8 years before being honorable discharged. He enjoyed being with friends, listening to music and telling war stories. He loved being with his beloved, companion and long time partner Erlene Miller. He was preceded in death by his mother Bessie Stewart, his siblings Dora Peters, Wayne Stewart, Benjamin Tom, and Joe Tom. He leaves to cherish his memory his sisters Donna Robinson, and Sandra Tom and his beloved daughters Ashley Stewart and Tamara Stewart along with four grandchildren along with a host of family and friends. He will be missed dearly.

Memorial services will be held at 10am on Thursday February 10th, 2022, at Bill Merritt Funeral home in Bethany, OK with internment at 2:00 PM at Ft. Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, OK.
