Kurt was born on August 31, 1957, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, to Bill Crowder and Patricia Sue Lehman. As the only boy among his sisters, he was their hero, protector, and occasional partner in mischief. From an early age, he carried a strong sense of responsibility—always looking out for those he loved, even while teasing them in the only way he knew how.
At the young age of 17, Kurt left to serve our country, later earning his GED. He went on to build a lifelong career as a master mechanic—a trade he took great pride in and excelled at. He also served his country honorably, dedicating his time and skills in many different areas and countries throughout his lifetime.
In May of 1981, Kurt moved to Oklahoma City, where he and Lori built a beautiful life together and raised six children. His wife, children and grandchildren were the joy of his life.
Kurt is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Lori Crowder; their six children, Amy Hindman, Ben Crowder, Kasey Crowder, Chris Crowder, Riley Crowder, and Tyler Crowder; and his cherished grandchildren; Haley, Bethany, Olivia, Rayna, Kannon and Kynlee. He is also survived by his sisters, Kay Goodwin and Kelley Baab Goldsmith, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill Crowder and Patricia Sue Lehman.
Kurt will be remembered for his quick wit, big heart, and unwavering love for his family. His laughter, strength, and steady presence will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
He is now at rest in the arms of our loving Father, and holding his mama’s hand.
