Lee Clayton Stoldt went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 12, 2020. He was born on June 7, 1931, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, to Clarence Alfred Stoldt and Eula Bee Clayton Stoldt. He attended grade schools in Blackwell, Oklahoma City, and Norman and graduated from Classen High School in Oklahoma City. He then graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Civil Engineering. Upon graduation he entered the United States Air Force. He received his wings and became a 1st Lieutenant pilot in the Strategic Air Command. While stationed at Carswell Air Force Base in Fort Worth, Lee met Mary Jean Johnston and they were soon married. She was a true and loving partner in their long and happy lives. Lee loved Mary dearly and they had two children, Glenn Clayton and Jeni Kay and they later gained a wonderful daughter-in-law, Sally Stoldt. Over time, the family grew to include grandson Ryan Garrett Stoldt and grand daughter-in-law Amanda Casey, as well as granddaughter Katie Looper, granddaughter Karla Davis-Boot and husband Will and grandson Kaleb Looper. Lee practiced as a civil engineer in Oklahoma City with The Benham Group, Cunningham-Stoldt Consultants, and C. H. Guernsey and Company. He loved his work and enjoyed working with many talented colleagues. Lee was a truly happy person who never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew him. His infectious smile was an outreach to all, and he loved his friends. His golf buddies were especially dear to him, and when he could no longer play, he missed the time with friends more than the game. And he did love the game. His goal was to shoot his age, a goal he attained on several occasions. Lee also loved OU football and attended games for many years with Clay, Ryan and/or his brother Bud. Lee loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and his great joys included spending time with his church friends and studying the Word of God. His desire was that all of his family and friends would come to be believers in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Besides wife Mary, his children and grandchildren, Lee is survived by his sister Sue Shaw and brother-in-law Bill and many beloved nieces and nephews. They include Elizabeth Draper, Russell Shaw, Debby Martin, Dotty Killam, Robert Stoldt, Barbara Stoldt, Marvin Stoldt and James Stoldt. The family would like to thank the wonderful nurses and physicians at Integris Baptist Medical Center who worked so hard to save Lee and then comfort him during his final hours. They were professional, kind and extraordinarily compassionate. Memorial service will be held 10am Monday at Metropolitan Bible Church with a private burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Metropolitan Bible Church, 7201 W. Britton Road, Oklahoma City, OK 73132
