

Linda M. Alfaro, 63, passed away December 15, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born March 11, 1948 in Omaha, NE to Walter and Josephine Secord. Linda achieved her nursing license at Metro Tech and worked at Deaconess Hospital for over 20 years. She was very proud of her nursing career but her greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her husband, Guadalupe Alfaro, of the home; four children, Ret. Gunnery Sgt Raymond Jones and wife Pam, of Pipton, GA, Raelynn Gillian and husband David, of Jacksonville, FL, Guadalupe Alfaro III, of Oklahoma City, OK, and Kimberly Lynn Alfaro, of Oklahoma City, OK; brother, Walter Secord, Jr. and wife Mary, of Council Bluffs, IA; 7 grandchildren; 13 nieces; 8 nephews; and many dear friends. Linda was preceded in death by her sister, Jackie Penny and her husband David. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Visitation at the funeral home will be held Sunday from 8 AM – 8 PM. Services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, December 19, 2011, at the Bill Merritt Memorial Chapel.
