Loyd was born Sept. 14, 1925 in Pocassett, OK, the son of Samuel & Della Johnson. He was raised in Chickasha, OK. He enlisted in the Marines on Aug. 4, 1943 and achieved the rank of
Sargent. During WWII Loyd arrived in Okinawa aboard the USS Laurens.
Returning from the Marine Corp he married his wife of 63 years, Laquita Lea Bowers and they resided in Okla. City. Loyd was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and twin brother, Floyd. He is survived by his wife of the home; his daughter, Jenny Diaz; son and daughter-in-law, Mike & Joni Johnson; 2 grandsons, Cole and Kyle Johnson and brother, Joe Johnson.
