Lucille L. Jones

Lucille L. Jones passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born in Walters, OK on January 21, 1922 to John & Eva Ann Hagle and was the youngest of six children. She was a graduate of Bristow High School in 1940. She married the late James Loy Jones, Sr. in Bristow, OK on November 30, 1940. Lucille loved to travel and play bridge, she was known for her delicious peanut brittle, she volunteered at Presbyterian Hospital in Oklahoma City and was involved for many years as a cook and delivery driver for Mobile Meals program at Calvin Presbyterian church where she was a long time active member. Left to honor Lucille and remember her love are her two children, James (Neta) Jones & Janice (Jim) Brown, her four grandchildren Shelly (John) Ondiak, Tracy Jones, Andrew Jones & Melissa Mortimer, five great grandchildren Isabel & Kaylee Ondiak and Alexis, Aaron & Jory Mortimer and many loving nieces & nephews. Visitation will be held Friday, March 29 from 12pm-8pm at Bill Merritt Funeral Service, 6201 NW 39th Expressway, Bethany, OK. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 30 at Calvin Presbyterian Church at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Lucille’s name to Calvin Presbyterian Church, 2001 N. Meridian Ave., Oklahoma City, OK, 73107 or the charity of your choice.
