Marcia enjoyed a successful career as a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones in Poteau, Oklahoma, where she worked from 1983 until 2001.
On November 15, 2003, Marcia married Sam Mitchell, and together they shared nearly 23 years of love, laughter, and companionship.
Marcia was an active member of Britton Christian Church for 23 years and had a heart for serving others. She was involved in her community, volunteered at Reach Our City (ROC) Crisis Center, and served as a mentor to countless individuals throughout her life.
Marcia had a wonderful zest for life and a fun-loving, competitive spirit. An avid animal lover, she especially enjoyed spending time with her beloved dogs, Murphy, Lilly, and Maggie. She loved cycling and could often be spotted riding her recumbent trike through the neighborhood. She also enjoyed taking walks, whether on her own, with her dogs, or alongside family after Thanksgiving dinner. Whether playing cards with family or challenging someone to a game of ping pong, Marcia was always ready for a little friendly competition!
Above all, Marcia treasured her family and the time they spent together. Affectionately known as “Mimi” to her five grandchildren, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness, laughter, and enthusiasm for life touched everyone who knew her.
Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Jewel McGoyne; her late husband, Jerry Webster; and her niece, Debbie Hatfield.
She is survived by her loving husband, Sam Mitchell; her sisters, Jackie Hatfield and husband Larry, and Janet Myers and husband Larry; her sons, Todd Webster and wife Melissa, and Scott Webster and wife Dawn; her grandchildren, Dakota Webster, Dilan Webster-Butler and husband Garrett Butler, Chase Myska and wife Jessica, Skyler Lewis and husband Brandon Lewis, and Jackson Webster; and her great-grandchildren, Townes and Rooney Butler, Marley and Walter Myska, and Oliver Lewis.
She is also survived by her nieces, Becky Haskins and husband Brian, Christy Schiltz and husband John, and Sandy Hall and husband Jeff, along with numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Marcia's caring heart, joyful spirit, and love for life will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Carpe Diem!
