Marilynn Israel

Marilynn Morgan Israel peacefully went home to our Lord on July 23, 2013 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born May 14, 1929 in Kansas City, KS, to William and Leslie Morgan, the youngest of seven siblings. Marilynn was a graduate of Kansas University, receiving both undergraduate and Masters Degrees...ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK! She was a teacher and librarian in numerous towns in Kansas and in Oklahoma City. Marilynn was married to Don McCoy who passed away shortly after their first wedding anniversary. Then she met and married Robert L. Israel, who she shared a full and adventurous life with until his passing in 2000. Marilynn will be remembered as a wonderful wife, Mom, Nanny, Aunt, friend, teacher and faithful servant to our Lord Jesus Christ. She was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, doing crossword puzzles and kept busy with many clubs and bible studies. She remained a lifelong student and teacher and encouraged others to do so. Marilynn is survived by her beloved daughter Patti Henderson and son-in-law Ben, grandsons Wyatt, Brenden and Rory all of OKC; her constant companion LeRoi the cat, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family as well as many close friends.
