Mario Enrico Gonzales Sr. was born on October 6, 1956 to Arnold and Erminia Gonzales. He was the third child of 6 children and eldest son. Mario was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. He is survived by his loving wife June Alice Gompf and sons Eric Gonzales and wife, Mario Gonzales Jr. and husband and David Whisenhunt along with four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mario was honorably discharged from the Air Force in 1982 and graduated from the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California in 1983. Mario was born with a guitar in his hand and more than anything he loved to share the gift of music with everyone he met. He is forever in our hearts and will always be missed.
