I enjoyed reading Shirley's obituary , seeing her sweet picture and the picture with grandchildren since I had some of them at school at Rollingwood El. or Central Middle School. I wasn't able to come to service because I have a new knee. I enjoyed working with Shirley on several MAEC activities. (Meridian Ave. Ecumenical Council). She was a reliable and hard worker. I am sure she passed that on to her children and grandchildren. My sympathy and prayers to them.

I will love and cherish you for ever Granny. She has passed away but she’s at peace now. She is with my grandfather and her dog Daisy she is no longer in pain and has her memory back. Words cannot describe how amazing and full of life she was. I will cherish every memory I have with her weather it was baking cookies or having Sunday breakfast. She has raised 5 amazing kids and so many grandchildren, I’m so grateful I get to call myself one of those people and I will never forget how she helped shape me into the woman I am today.

-I’ll love you forever.
Emily.

Something happens the moment a bride says, “I do.” Not only does she get a husband, but in my case, the most wonderful mother-in-law.

Bonds between some daughters- and mothers-in-law are sometimes compared to the close friendship that Ruth and Naomi enjoyed (Ruth 1:16).

"My mother-in-law didn't just accept me as her son's spouse, she loved me like a daughter. She knew I love Lemon Meringue Pie and was not a cake loving kind of person. So every year she would make me her famous Lemon Meringue Pie and at Thanksgiving she would bake an extra one just for me to take home.

Love you so much Mom!
