Mike was born in Wewoka, Oklahoma, on July 1, 1944, to Harold R. Hahn and Ida Cecilia. He grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, one of five brothers, where he attended Bishop Kelley High School. He later continued his education at the University of Central Oklahoma, Oklahoma Baptist University, and Baylor University, earning a degree in Chemistry and a master's degree in Hospital Administration.
Mike began his career working in several hospitals before embarking on a successful 25-year career in medical sales. Afterward, he and his brother fulfilled a dream by opening Carpet Kleen of Oklahoma, a business they proudly operated together for another 25 years. In his later years, Mike enjoyed working alongside his son at the family's wedding venue.
Above all else, Mike treasured his family. He loved working and traveling with his two sons, creating lifelong memories together on trips throughout Europe, Alaska, and Hawaii. His strength, kindness, quiet dignity, and unwavering love for those closest to him will be remembered by everyone fortunate enough to know him.
A passionate sailor, Mike was a devoted member of the Oklahoma City Boat Club for more than 35 years. The friendships he formed there and the time spent on the water brought him great joy throughout his life.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Harold R. Hahn and Ida Cecile Hahn, and his two older brothers, Harold Hahn and Howard Hahn.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Joy Hahn; his sons, Dr. Michael R. Hahn II and Riley T. Hahn; his stepdaughter, Susan Simpson; his brothers, Larry Hahn of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and Shelton Hahn of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
