Michael was born January 23, 1968, in Oklahoma City to Thomas and Billie (Heckel) Hughes. He graduated from Putnam City North in 1986 and was a lifelong resident of Oklahoma City. Michael was a loyal employee of KP Supply Company for over 30 years. He was a hard worker, funny and outgoing, and earned the friendship of co-workers and customers alike.

He was a devoted father, a loving son, brother, cousin, uncle and friend. He was a gifted, skilled and accomplished musician, and a zealous fisherman. Michael was always up for an adventure, whether it was scuba diving, skiing, hunting, or having friends over for an impromptu jam session in his living room. He simply and wholeheartedly enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
