Patricia Ann Hammond

On September 12, 1959, Pat married the love of her life, James “Jay” Hammond. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with laughter, love, and family adventures. Pat especially enjoyed fishing and camping trips to Lake Eufaula and Marval Trout Camp, where some of her happiest memories were made.

She loved gathering around the kitchen table to play games and cards with her family, and she took special pride in beating her grandsons at Texas Hold ’Em and Yahtzee. Pat also enjoyed Keno, reading, and cheering on her favorite NBA team, the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Pat was a humble and kind woman whose quiet strength and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her. Even during the most difficult years of her life, she never complained and always found a way to smile.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Jay Hammond.

Pat is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jamie and Randel Cummings; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Tonia Hammond; grandchildren, Greg and Lanette Cummings, Tammy and Zac Sewell, Logan Fodge, Seth Hammond, and Ryan Cummings; six great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara; sister-in-law, Gail Burk; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends who will miss her dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor 10 am Friday, November 28, 2025 at Bill Merritt Funeral Service.
