RaeDenne Kaup, age 69, passed away Monday, February 6, 2023. She was born May 16, 1953 in McPherson, Kansas to Raymond and Donna (Butler) Frye. Shortly after she was born they moved to Farmington, New Mexico where she was raised and welcomed 5 brothers and sisters. Eventually she would leave home to attend college at Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma. It was then that she met her next door neighbor, David Kaup, who would become her husband on March 27, 1976. Together they would raise their boys, Brian and Justin. RaeDenne faithfully attended church at Yukon First Church of the Nazarene and then at Piedmont Nazarene Church. She served as a Sunday school teacher, on the church board, and in whatever capacity she was needed. RaeDenne was always taking pictures of her family but was rarely in them. She enjoyed reading and being with the apple of her eye- her grandson, Lyric. Anyone that knew her would use the term workaholic to describe her. She worked at Montgomery Wards, then at Walmart for over 20 years, and finally at Bank of Oklahoma for 12 years. She was a woman of strong faith, a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a doting grandmother who was immensely loved and will be forever missed.
She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Frye and sister, Rhdora DiGiacomo.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, David Kaup, sons and daughter-in-law, Brian Kaup and Justin and Heather Kaup; grandchildren, Jessica Parsons, Dustin Parsons, James Parsons, and Lyric Kaup; siblings, Lowell Frye and wife Vicky, Becky Frye, Loren Frye and wife Rene, Lyndal Frye and wife Nyla; as well as a host of other family and church family.
A Celebration of RaeDenne’s life will be 2pm Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Piedmont Nazarene Church.
Her ashes will be buried on the family property next to her beloved Arabian horse.
