Early Monday morning on April 16, 2018, Rexie Mendenhall passed away at the age of 70. Rexie was born in Borger, TX on July 22, 1947 and grew up in Stinnett, TX. She was a charmer, and loved to flirt even in her teenage years. Friends loved to tease her with the nickname of "Sexy Rexie". She never met a person she didn't like and would give her last dollar for her family and friends. Rexie also was fortunate enough to reaffirm her love in the Lord and Jesus. She is survived by her mother Eleanor Beck, daughters Kristina Hummell, Paula Barton, Jody Tarrant, Gena Mendenhall and son John Mendenhall and by her sister Delouise Brownen and brother John Beck. Rexie adored her grandchildren, Brandon, Stephanie, Cody, Austin, Justin, Blake, Noah, Kyle, Rhylee, Melanie, Andrew, Olivia and Edith. Great-grandchildren are Gabriel, Conner, Eleanor, Koston and Adeline. Rexie enjoyed reading, writing and shopping in her spare time and she even dabbled in writing her own children's book. What she really loved to do was dote on her grandchildren though! All of them have fond memories of grandma's colorful and eccentric gifts. A funeral service in memory of Rexie will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 9:00 am, at Bill Merritt Funeral Home, 6201 NW 39th Expressway, Bethany, OK 73008. Burial will follow at 4:00 pm at Landmark Cemetery in Chismville, AR.
