Rocky John Blackmon passed away December 15, 2018 in OKC at the age of 64. He was born November 20, 1954 in Elgin, TX to Geraldyne Estelle Phillips and Earl Dean Blackmon. Rocky lived in the Oklahoma City area over 30 years. He moved to Moore 6 years ago from Edmond. He was a truck driver currently driving for J B Hunt. Rocky loved watching old movies especially the old sci-fi ones. Old time country and Christian music was also something he really enjoyed. But his great love was his family. He is survived by his wife, Katie of the home, 3 children, Brandon Blackmon and wife, Megan of Moore, Adam Blackmon and wife, Katie of Edmond and Candace Blackmon of OKC. He is also survived by his sister, Sandra Hamilton of Houston, 5 grandchildren, Kaylin Blackmon, Nathaniel Flom, Matthew Flom, Caiden Flom and Cambrie Blackmon as well as 3 nieces, Karley Sarkisian, Kortney Bankston and Debbie Wellman, 3 nephews, Jerry Hamilton, Jacob Schaffroth and Sean Eure and a host of other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at Edmond’s First Baptist Church on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 2:00 PM.
