Cassandra Lynn Bayliffe, lovingly known as “Sandy”, passed away September 22, 2025, in Bethany, Oklahoma at the age of 77 after courageously living with the effects of a stroke for the past five years. Born January 18, 1948, in Medicine Lodge, Kansas, Sandy was the first of seven children born to Isaac “Ike” and Minnie “Deane” Bayliffe. Sandy was known for her passion for animals and a deep love for her family and Jesus Christ. She enjoyed family reunions, OU football, traveling, and photography.
Following graduation from Geary High School in 1966, Sandy attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, followed by Oklahoma School of Banking & Business and Oklahoma City Community College in Oklahoma City. Sandy’s professional background is rooted in the early development of banking and retail technology systems. She began her career in 1968 at the Federal Reserve Bank in Oklahoma City at positions which focused on data processing and automated machine operations. Her career at the bank progressed from specialized entry-level work to supervisory and management responsibilities. Broadening her computer and management skills, Sandy went to work for the State of Oklahoma Tax Commission in 1978 where she was promoted through ranks of Console Specialists I and II, Lead Operator, to Operations Supervisor. In the early to mid-1980’s, Sandy worked as Operations Analyst for T.G.&Y Stores Company and Scrivner, Inc. where her primary responsibilities were to support and maintain components of IBM point-of-sale systems, which was IBM’s early retail technology system. During her retirement years, Sandy worked as office support staff for her primary physician, Dr. Faysal Nasr until her stroke in August 2020.
Though she never married or had children of her own, Sandy’s life was defined by devotion to her family. After the passing of their mother in 1980, she became a source of stability for her younger siblings with steady love and an open heart. She always maintained an open-door policy, and her generosity was such that she would give you her last dollar without a second thought. Sandy was also a constant presence in her nieces and nephews lives. Her kindness, concern for everyone she loved, and her unwavering loyalty will remain a lasting comfort for those who knew her. Sandy’s faith in Jesus Christ was the cornerstone of her life. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and now she rests peacefully in the arms of her Savior.
