Silvia Rangel Godinez

Silvia Godinez, 76 of Oklahoma City, passed away on February 27, 2020 after battling many illnesses. Silvia was born on November 3, 1943 to Guillermo and Francisca in Mexico City. Silvia went on to study in Mexico City and later moved to the United States in her early twenties. Silvia excelled in the skill of Tailoring and enjoyed this skill at work and home. While living in Mexico City, she met her ex-husband and had four children, Sylvia, Maria, Armando Jr. and Claudia. She dedicated her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother and friend. She was always there to support them through the many passions and difficulties of their lives. She made it her mission to improve the lives of others before her own. After retiring Silvia spent her time visiting family, enjoying her grandchildren and continued with her love of sewing. Silvia joins her parents, Guillermo and Francisca, and her son Armando Jr. in Heaven. She is survived by her four siblings, Guillermo Jr., Guadalupe, Estella, and Irma; her three daughters, Sylvia, Maria, and Claudia; 12 grandchildren Terria, Kaylem, Nina, Terrence Jr. (TJ), DeClaudio, Christina, Reyna, Tawny, DeAngelo Jr. (DJ), Dana Jr., Railyn and Danica and three great grandchildren Mylon, Lorenzo and LaReyna. As well as many nieces, nephews and friends. She was mother to many of her children’s friends growing up and was known to them as “Mama”. Now she rests in peace.
