Tamesha Monique was born to the parentage of Clemmit Jr. and Marilyn Shannon, on June 25, 1985 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She attended OKC Public Schools, and in 2004, she graduated from US Grant High School. Education was very important to Tamesha and she furthered her education by obtaining her Bachelor and Master’s Degree from Mid-American Christian University along with other degrees and certifications. Tamesha had plans on going back to school to earn a degree in nursing, which had always been her passion.
In her free time, Tamesha enjoyed skating, traveling, being with her family and friends and making people laugh. Most people would tell you that Tamesha would give you the shirt off her back and her very last dime, if she knew you were in need, she had a very generous spirit and an even bigger heart. Tamesha was known for being a big prankster, to those she loved and cared about. She always said that if she loved you, eventually she would eventually prank you and there was no limit to her pranks. We often found ourselves trying to figure out what to eat, since she did not like much of anything. Tamesha enjoyed working with children and spent many years working for Positive Changes as Director of Admissions and at the time of her death, Tamesha was an Admissions Clinician with Cedar Ridge Hospital.
On April 28, 2022, God saw fit to call Tamesha home. He knows what we do not know and may not ever know about her journey or purpose here on Earth. He allowed us to have 36 years of laughter, travel, pranks, tears, smiles and joy with her. She knew we loved her, we know she loved us and we all know God loved her most of all.
Tamesha was preceded in death by her grandparents and her baby girl, Ka’Mara.
Those left to carry on her legacy is her husband, Darnell, her children, which were her heartbeats, Gla’Mara, Decien, Guvon, Dale’Aja and Kailead, her parents Clemmit Jr. and Marilyn, brothers, Clemmit III, Von and Monty, in-laws, La Freda Dillard-Smith and Leon Hawkins, and a host of other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested monetary donations be made to the family to help support
Tamesha's 5 beautiful children.
Her Celebration of Life will be 11am Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 3600 N. Kelley Ave., Oklahoma City.
