Theodore Edward Hafemann, age 80, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at his home in Mustang surrounded by his family. He was born February 15, 1943, the youngest of 7 siblings, in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin to Carl Harold Hafemann, Sr. and Nettie Karoline (Schmidth) Hafemann. After graduating from high school Ted joined the United States Air Force and honorably served his country as an airplane mechanic during the Vietnam War. Part of his job was to work on airplanes that carried Agent Orange which would affect his health in his later years. Ted married Shirley June Parker on February 20, 1964 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Midwest City. They made their home in the Oklahoma City area where they raised their three children. They became foster parents in 1978 and fostered several babies and children for 7 years until their first grandbaby was born. Ted and Shirley would eventually move to Eufaula where he would build their dream home and Ted started his own carpentry company, Fix it Ted. They were members of Trinity Lutheran Church in McAlister. After living there 25 years, they moved to Mustang to be closer to their family. Ted had an unwavering Faith in the Lord and was dedicated to devoting his time to his church in whatever capacity was needed. He was a very talented carpenter and was always willing to lend a hand to any project, as well as teaching carpentry in the evenings. He was a member of the Gideons as well as Messiah Lutheran Church. Ted was a true gentle man and loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He had a beautiful voice, a wonderful sense of humor and lived to make others laugh. He was deeply loved by all and will be forever missed.
