To Virginia Belle Moon, the entire world was a stage. To everyone around her, she seemed to be eternally happy, and she willingly shared that joy with anyone whose life she touched She was born August 11, 1923 in Downey, CA to Julius Jackson and Mildred Allen Coursey and passed away on November 8, 2020 at her home at the age of 97. Virginia was the middle child. She had 3 sisters Georgie, Lois and Faye and 2 brothers Roy and Buddy. Virginia met Jack Moon at the airplane plant where she and her mother worked as "Rosie the Riveters" during WWII. She and Jack eloped to Last Chance, OK and were married in 1946 and were married for 36 years when Jack passed away in 1982. Perhaps the reason Virginia related so well to children was the fact that she never really completely grew up herself. The ability to be just a “kid at heart” helped her in raising her own children. Virginia was blessed with 3 children, 2 daughters, Judy Dyer and husband Larry Wallace, Patty Flint, a son, Jack Moon and his dear friend, Nancy. They were also blessed with 5 Grandchildren, Chelsey Flint, Brandi Higginbotham and husband, Daniel, Stacey Flint-Winters, Daughters-in-law, Rene Barnett and Misty Barnett, Her 2 grandsons, Darren Barnett and Robert Barnett preceded her in death, 5 Great Grandchildren, Brandon and Bryson Barnett, Chase Coulson and wife, MariBeth, Chance Coulson and wife, Maddison, Annia Hedlund and 3 Great Great Grandchildren, Lyla, Levi, and Michael. Virginia worked at the Roy Rogers Restaurant for many years and retired about 1972. After that retirement she began working Mother’s Day out at Grace Methodist Church. She worked there until she was 83. She was an avid Bible reader and attended Baptist Temple. She enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles and considered learning to play the organ one of her greatest accomplishments. Virginia was a lover of animals and cherished her pets, enjoying them almost as much as she enjoyed being around other people. Two of Virginia's favorites were Spike the dog and Mike the cockatiel.Virginia brought joy to all of those around her.She loved to share her energy, wit, and her zest for all of her activities with her friends and family. Virginia Belle Moon lived life to its fullest and made everyone around her happier just for knowing her. She will be remembered with a smile.
