

A loving soul answered God's call to come home on December 17th, 2025. Vivian Marquise "Midge" Sullivan was born September 23, 1924 in Skiatook, Oklahoma. Preceding her in death were her mother and father, Lona Smith and E.R. Smith. Also, daughter, Tresa Criswell, and husband, Densell L. Sullivan, whom she referred to as "the wind beneath my wings". She was also preceded in death by brothers Faunzo Smith, Bill Smith, and Ted Smith, and one sister, Texanna Hatchett. She is survived by grandson Donald Criswell Jr. and wife Eunice, and great-granddaughter, Lauren Criswell. Midge will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
Midge was a member of the Crossings Community Church. She retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after 35 years of service. 28 of those years were in the coin telephone division where she was in charge of Coin Development and Marketing for the State of Oklahoma. She founded the Oklahoma Tax Action Group and was their chairwoman for 25 years. She spent most of her retirement years working to get an equal state income tax exemption for private sector retirees that had gone to government retirees for years. She was a member of the Oklahoma Alliance on Aging and AT&T Pioneers and enjoyed her association with OG&E retirees. She had many letters published in "Your Views" in the Daily Oklahoman.
Memorial services will be held December 30, 2025 at 12:00pm in Crossings Community Church Chapel at 14600 N. Portland Ave. Private burial in Havana, Kansas.
