William "Grant" Sturdevant, age 71, of Oklahoma City passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023. Grant was born in Henryetta, Oklahoma on March 27, 1951 to William Arberry and Treva Colleen Dobbs Sturdevant, who preceded him in death. Grant lived in OKC most of his life. After graduating from US Grant High School he joined the Army and was stationed in Germany. After his military service, Grant attended Central State University where he got a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. He was two classes away from receiving his Masters. Grant worked as a parole officer for several years in several states. Anything having to do with MOPAR and Dodge cars was Grant's passion as well as being a lifelong patron of the Red Dog Saloon.
Grant is survived by his daughter, Sanda Dowell and her Kirk of Harrah, 2 grandchildren, Kathryn Mullins of Harrah and Steven Dowell of Jones, 3 great grandchildren, Trinity and Titus Mullins of Harrah and Zane Dowell of Jones and his sister, Kathryn Jones of Moore.
