Carolyn Swain

Carolyn Swain, 85, of Bethpage, NY, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late James J. Swain, and a loving mother to her son, Vincent Palange, and his wife, Dorothea. Carolyn was a cherished grandmother to Vincent J. Palange and Matthew J. Palange, who were the pride and joy of her life.

She was also the adored sister of the late Doris Rawald and a dear aunt to Loretta Knote, Caroline Ortiz, and Thomas Culkin. Carolyn will be deeply missed by her many great-nieces and nephews.

Carolyn had a vibrant personality and was known for her warm and social nature. She loved spending time with her family and friends, often enjoying lively dinners and outings. A passionate bingo player, Carolyn cherished the moments spent with friends at the bingo hall, always sharing her laughter and good cheer. Her zest for life and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 24th, from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, 315 Conklin Street, Farmingdale, NY. A funeral service will take place on Monday, September 25th, at 10:00 AM, followed by interment at Calverton National Cemetery in Wading River, NY.

She will be greatly missed, but her love will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
