Auntie Fran lived across the street and was a part of our every day!

Auntie Fran was part of my surprise birthday party! She took me out to dinner to celebrate and when we got home there was a surprise birthday party for me! She really was like a mom to me!

Keith and I grew up together and shared all our holidays together. He was taken too soon from us and we pray that he has wrapped his arms around his mother once again.

It is with a sad heart that I find myself sitting down to sum up the life force that was Frances O’Riordan. My parents (Patrick and Mary McKeon) and I have spent the past few days sitting and sharing stories and memories from our decades of knowing and loving Fran. Fran was my godmother and was a lively spirit who loved her family fiercely. She was a gracious host, a quick conversationalist, and a true empath. Fran loved the beach, a good laugh, and enjoying the simple pleasures in life. Fran has left us too soon and she will be greatly missed. In her 79 years Fran suffered a great deal of loss and we hope that she has been reunited with her dear son Keith and husband Joe in heaven.

Fran was my mother’s first cousin and a bridesmaid, along with her sister Ann, at my mother’s wedding.  Pictured here are Ann, Fran, their mother Mary and my mother, Maureen.  Rest is peace Fran.

Fran, was my mother Maureen’s first cousin, a bridesmaid at my parent’s wedding (see photos) and a life-long friend of the family.  She will be deeply missed. My mother often remarked that Fran was one of the smartest and funniest people she knew.  One of last times I saw Fran was at my mother’s 80th birthday party a few years back and, as always, Fran helped make that such a memorable evening.  She touched the life’s all she knew. Fran has been reunited with her husband Joe, her son Keith—both of whom were taken from her far too soon—and her beloved parents, Jim and Mary. I’m sure Fran is telling everyone some great stories when they greeted her in Heaven.  May she rest in peace.

Auntie Fran, that was what we Jordan kids called her. She was my Godmother. I was so blessed to have her in my life! We grew up in her house, we played in her yard and we probably annoyed her to no end! We shared Christmas morning with the O’Riordan family and every big life event. She was always kind and funny and our mom’s best friend! I can’t say how many times she would be there for us with motherly advice or a quick get out of my house! I will forever be grateful for that beautiful woman who was like a second mother to us. Rest in Peace beautiful Auntie Fran.
