Fridericke Nikas

It is with a heavy heart that we mourn the passing of our beloved mother Fridericke “Fritzi” Nikas at the age of 88 on May 14th, 2026. She is survived by her sister Hermine and brother in-law Chuck, children Joann, Karen, Lisa and Arthur, daughter in-law Siobhan, 8 grandchildren

and 7 & 1/2 great grandchildren. Fridericke came to America with her family from Germany at the age of 16 in 1954. She started her family in Ridgewood, NY with her beloved late husband Aristides Nikas, and then moved to Bethpage where they have lived since 1972.

Fritzi loved having her family spend time at her house, she was a wonderful cook and made everyone feel very welcome. Fritzi was always up for an adventure, she loved traveling to far away destinations and cruising with family and friends. A big part of her life was spending time

with her friends, they loved going to summer concerts and taking bus trips into Manhattan.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Martin of Tours RC Church, 220 Central Ave, Bethpage, NY 11714, US, on May 18, 2026, from 11:15 am to 12:15 pm.

Interment will take place at Pinelawn Memorial Park and Arboretum, 2030 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735, US, on May 18, 2026, from 12:45 pm to 1:15 pm.
