Gerhard Gramlich, 92, of Bethpage, New York, passed away on October 1, 2026. Born on April 29, 1934, Gerhard lived a long life marked by steadiness, purpose, and the kind of enduring strength that is shown in a lifetime of showing up, doing the work well, and standing firmly for the people who mattered most.
A hard-working man in every sense, Gerhard excelled in carpentry as a Master Cabinet Worker. His work reflected care, discipline, and a vital pride in doing things the right way—qualities that shaped the life he built and the legacy he leaves behind.
Gerhard was the beloved husband of Tina, with whom he shared 66 years of marriage. He was a cherished father to his son Steven and daughter Tanya, and a loving father-in-law to Billy. He was also the proud grandfather of Erin, his one and only granddaughter, whom he was blessed to watch grow into a beautiful young woman and who was deeply treasured by him.
Though a man of few words, Gerhard’s presence was unmistakable. At times the life of the party, he brought energy and spirit to the moments that gathered people together, and he lived by a simple, steadfast rhythm—work hard, play hard—especially in the company of his German friends.
Memorial Visitation will be held at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, 234 Broadway, Bethpage, NY 11714, on October 9, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and again from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
May we always have the memory of him in our hearts, and may it give us comfort.
