With profound love and deep sadness, our family announces the passing of John Louis Ricciuti, who left this world on November 19, 2025, surrounded by those who loved him. John was born on July 20, 1928, in New York, New York, to his devoted parents, Louis and Jeanette Ricciuti.
John shared an extraordinary life with his beloved wife, Susan, with whom he spent an incredible 75 years—a lifetime of partnership, devotion, and unwavering love. Together, they built a family that became John’s proudest legacy.
He was the loving father of Dr. Lewis L. Ricciuti (Lori) and Loretta (Jeff Laney), who carry forward his gentleness, wisdom, and steady determination. He was a cherished grandfather to Jacqueline, Jocelyn (Nate York), Jesse, Jessie, Josh, and Alex (Gianna), each of whom he adored and supported deeply. His joy multiplied in becoming a great-grandfather to Mason, Beckham, and Griffin, who brought light and laughter to his later years.
To those who helped care for him—Joan, Narrine, Cynthia, and Kim—the family extends heartfelt gratitude. Your kindness, compassion, and unwavering dedication meant more than words can express.
John was a man of remarkable hands and an even more remarkable heart. Patient and capable, he could fix, build, or restore nearly anything. One of his greatest accomplishments was building his own boat—a masterpiece of skill, pride, and passion. Working at the marina was never a job to him; it was where he felt most alive. He often said, “I get paid to move boats,” a reflection of the simple joy he found in the water, a joy that stayed with him even in his final days as he continued to daydream about being out on the waves.
He loved a good meal—especially if he cooked it. His famous clam pizza and baked clams were legendary in the family, dishes that brought everyone together around the table. John never missed a meal, and more importantly, he never missed a chance to share his love through food, laughter, and time spent with those who mattered most.
John was a devoted husband, a wonderful father, a proud grandfather, and an adoring great-grandfather. His steady presence and his boundless heart will be missed beyond measure.
