Lisa always filled the house with laughter, either we were laughing at the funny things she said or at the stories she told us. Alan and Lisa often laughed at their “Eye see you” as they pointed at each other. Alan was so helpful in running errands for Lisa when she couldn’t get around. They all kept their sense of humor throughout those 10 years in which Lisa battled brain cancer. Barbara stayed with Lisa throughout many treatments and doctor appointments. It was a tough battle.
Barbara and Lisa loved Let’s Make a Deal, Price Is Right and shopping, and going out to lunch together. They did all as often as they could.
Lisa loved her dogs, most currently Rocky. Rocky stayed by Lisa’s side when she was sick. Dogs were always around the family house, but Lisa also volunteered at the animal shelter back in Plainview. She held a few jobs in Plainview before moving to Rock Hill, SC.
Her Dad helped her to get her first job in an electronic company after high school.
Lisa liked to travel; she always wanted to go to Hawaii. Her Aunt Joann and Uncle Mike took her there, specifically to a luau. It was memorable to all. Barbara and Alan also traveled with Lisa to Ireland, another dream.
Barbara would often take Lisa to the movie theatre to watch action movies, such as Fast and Furious; movies that Lisa loved, but Barbara hated.
Lisa is survived by her mother, Barbara, her brother, DJ, and her sister, Sandy, and her cousins, Brian, David, Jacqi; nieces, Sarah, Angela, and Olivia.
