Robert C. Walsh, 78, entered into eternal rest on September 13, 2025, after a long goodbye. Born on September 11, 1947, he grew up in Syosset (Class of 1966). Affectionately known as “Billy Bob”,”Little Bobby” or “Bobby B.S.,” Bobby had a gift for making people laugh and lighting up every room he entered. He was a great dancer, a loyal friend, and a man who worked hard and always did his best. He loved the game of golf, cheering on his beloved Mets and Jets, and, in more recent years, the Chiefs. Many of his happiest days were spent at Walhill Rod & Gun Club, hunting with “The Boys.” He was known for his impeccable style, from his spotless white sneakers to his crisply pressed shirts, but above all, he was known for his big heart. Bobby cherished his family and shared an unbreakable lifelong bond with his beloved brother Terrence. In later years, he made his home in Bel Air, Maryland. Bobby is survived by his three children, Robert E. Walsh (Kristine), Jennifer Barton (Jim), and William P. Walsh (Jennifer); his six grandchildren, Taylor, Jack, Robert Jake, Riley, Samantha, and Bailey; his brothers Terrence Walsh, Liam Spaeth, Brendan Spaeth, and Michael Spaeth; and his longtime partner, Debbra Indenbaum. He was predeceased by his father, Robert J. Walsh; his mother, Margaret Spaeth; his grandmother, Catherine Walsh and grandfather Cyrus T. Walsh; his aunts, Cecilia Vincent, Joan Smith, and Virginia Natrass; his brother, Kevin Spaeth; and his sisters, Cathleen Walsh Tallarico and Susan Walsh. Bob will be remembered for his humor, his kindness, and his love of family and friends. He leaves behind countless memories and a legacy of laughter, loyalty, and love.
Memorial visitations will be held at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, located at 315 Conklin Street, Farmingdale, New York, on October 18, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, and again from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
