Bill and I have known Alberta for over 40 years . Our children and grandkids called her grama Berta. We will miss her Birthday calls and her lovely singing voice! She rarely forgot to call any of us. She was a great neighbor and will be dearly missed. Love u Berta

Reading others' memories of Alberta here and elsewhere, it finally dawned on me... she is the person who showed me, more than anyone else, how to be the sort of mother I wanted to be. Always there for her kids and anyone else's, always willing to listen without judgement, supportive and kind, full of joy, generous to a fault, and ever-ready to offer a ride to someone who would otherwise be left out- piling waaay too many kids into her blue Rambler to Grande Pizza. Love is action. Alberta did not just say the words - she lived them. She is dearly loved and will be missed. Love to her family, which apparently is much larger now than I ever knew. I know all those grandchildren and great grandchildren brought her much joy.

Mrs P. was one of the kindest and warmest ladies I've ever known. She loved parades more than anyone else I know. Back in our Castlemen days she would be there rooting us on. She was an awesome Mom not only to her own kids but to all the kids in the Corp as well. How blessed we were to have the childhood we had and the parents we were born to. My thoughts and prayers are with Bob, and Jeff, And Ray and Lori and Linda, and all the rest of your wonderful family . Praying that the Lord will surround you with his peace and comfort your hearts. Rest in peace Mrs P. Thank you for all the wonderful memories and for being such a great cheerleader to a bunch of kids. See you again in Heaven. <3

I have known Alberta my whole life. She was the Queen of Jacobs Highway. Always outside when I rode by on my bike. I remember when ever someone died in Broad Acres, She would head the house to house collection for the family. One yr she took a bunch of us kids Christmas Caroling. She will be dearly missed. Prayers and hugs to all of her family. R.I.P. Sweet lady. May God comfort your family now and forever.
