To Carl's wife and family...
     Our family was blessed to know Carl as our crossing guard. We have a four and five year old sons that adored Carl. With a rough exterior you would never expect him to be such a big teddy bear. Our boys would make holiday cards and give them to Carl on the way home the last day of school before vacation. Our sons thought very much of Carl. When I heard of Carls passing, I sat my boys down and told them. Both of them began crying, and I told them that Jesus needed the best crossing guard for heaven and he picked Carl. Carl touched our lives and I feel great sadness for the loss of a wonderfull man. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

We are sorry to hear of Carl's passing.  I am a cousin of Carl's and we live in Va. so we haven't kept up with the family as much as we should of.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the rest of the family.

Was so sorry to here of Carls passing he was a wonderful man and we enjoyed sitting up next to him at Jimmays for many years,he was also a devoted Jeff Gordon fan  like we are ,so we spent many hours talking about racing,we will miss him very much and our thoughts&prayers are with his family at this sad time.

Our heart goes out to the family and friends of Carl (Buzzy) Bennett (my cousin) We know your heart ache after loosing my brother Albert this week also. Our prayers are with you and your family. Rest in Peace "Buzzy" and God be with you.

My thoughts and prayers are with each of you as you go through this trying time.  Also thinking of Carl's wife, children and grandchildren.  May the memories you have stay in your hearts and give you some comfort in this time of sorrow.

Where do I start ~ So many memories, so many good times! You guys were my second family esp. staying eleven months out of the year & him wanting to claim me on his taxes, that's the one thing that will always stick with me! I will miss his laugh, his jokes, the good times! Uncle Carl I know your in a better place with no more pain & with my Mom who I know is glad to see you!
