Charles E. Hayes Jr.

Charles E. Hayes, Jr., 91, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 8, 2018. He was predeceased by his loving wife Doris and two sons John and Eugene Hayes. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law Donald and Sandy Hayes, Raymond and Sally Hayes, daughter Susan Homza and daughter and son-in-law JoAnn & Larry Stanley; daughters-in-law Nancy Hayes, Christa Hayes and Anne Gelunas; 18 grandchildren and many great & great great grandchildren. Charles was a US Marine Corps Veteran of WWII and was also a Pilot. He was an avid stock car driver and hunter who also enjoyed horses. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 12, 2018, 12 Noon at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson. Burial will be in the Chenango Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11am until the time of service.
