Constance (Connie) M. Cowan, age 95, eldest daughter of the late Vincent and Evelyn Brady, joined the Lord and her beloved husband of 57 years Husta (Hymie) Cowan on September 14, 2016. She was predeceased by her five Brady brothers, Vincent, Austin Jimmy, Jack and Tommy, also predeceasing her is a very young grandson, Timothy Cowan. Connie is survived by her youngest sibling, her sister Joyce (Dominic) Klenchik, her five children, Sandra and Jerry Saccoccio, Husta and Donna Cowan, Timothy and Marsha Cowan, Susan and Donald Crampton, Marie and Scott Benjamin, her grandchildren, Tamara and Frank Redden, Lawrence and Cynthia Harris, David and Stephanie Harris, Jennifer and John West, Vince Cowan, Stacy Cowan, Timothy Cowan, Jonathan and Gina Cowan, Hollie and Chris Hibbard, Donald and Leah Crampton, Ricky Parks, Michael and Angela Fairbrother, Scott and Beverly Otten and Debra George, twenty one great grandchildren and twelve great great grandchildren. She was a faithful Christian, attending the Church of the Good Shepherd in Binghamton during her youth and then St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Endicott where she was Father Jim's "right hand man". After moving to senior housing in Binghamton, she joined Christ Church. She had an infectious laugh and a great sense of humor. She enjoyed puzzles, knitting, crocheting and playing cards. For years every Christmas grandchildren received hand knitted hats and slipper socks. She was loving and affectionate. Hymie blamed her for his baldness saying she had rubbed his hair off with her affectionate gestures. We miss you Mom and will always remember your kind heart, sense of humor and loving ways.A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the James V. DeMarco & Son Funeral Home 737 Chenango St. Port Dickinson, NY 13901, burial will follow in the Vestal Hills Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home on Wednesday from 12 noon until the time of service.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to St. Paul's Episcopal Church 200 Jefferson Ave. Endicott, NY 13760 in her memory, or Christ Episcopal Church 10 Henry St. Binghamton, NY 13901 in her memory.
