Constance “Connie” Meyers, 77, of Chenango Forks, New York, went to be with our Lord in the early morning hours of June 10, 2021, at Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton, New York, after battling a long illness. She was surrounded by her husband and family. Connie was predeceased by her parents Ruth (Miller) and Conrad J. Steigerwald, Sr., and her stepson Keith Meyers. Connie is survived by her loving husband of over 28 years, Frank E. Meyers. She is also survived by her five children Sheila and Lorraine Veninsky, Michelle (Chuck) Veninsky-Gleason, Christine (Chris) Clapper and Joseph Veninsky; her three stepchildren Dawn and Craig Meyers and Randy (Pam) Meyers; and her two siblings Conrad J. (Lorna) Steigerwald, Jr., and Robert (Christine) Steigerwald. She leaves behind numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and dear friends. Connie was born in Albany, New York, and graduated from Seton Catholic High School in Endicott. Connie worked as a clerk for Kent’s Drugstore in Chenango Bridge that eventually evolved into CVS Pharmacy where she later retired after many years of dedicated service. She enjoyed sewing and knitting lovely creations for her children and grandchildren; reading, vegetable gardening and planting beautiful flower gardens. Connie most especially loved animals and caring for her numerous chickens, “the girls.” She and Frank enjoyed taking drives for coffee and ice cream and visits with their friends. Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Monday, June 28, from 5-6pm at Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home in Port Dickinson, immediately followed by a memorial service. A private burial will take place at a later date. Donations in Connie’s name may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or the Lupus Foundation of America.
