Dorothy E. Bonney

Port Crane: Dorothy (Schermerhorn) Hranek Bonney, 93, of Port Crane, NY. Dorothy passed away December 2, 2012 at Lourdes Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband of 33 years, Merle E. Bonney; her brother, George Schermerhorn; and son-in-law, Gary Merritt. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Priscilla Hranek of Binghamton; stepdaughter, Margo Merritt of Susquehanna, PA; her two sons, Christopher Merritt and his daughters, Marika and Meaghan, and Kim (Stephanie) Merritt and their children, Cooper, Jozalynn, Destinee and Jeremiah, all of Susquehanna, PA; stepdaughter, Sheila (John) De Rigo of Florida and their children, Sherri, Roxanna and Nicholas and their families; sister, Hazel Bonker of Oneonta, NY and her children, Lee, Cynthia and Donald and their families; nieces and nephews. Dorothy was employed by Ansco for 20 years, attended the Port Crane Methodist Church, and was a member of the Port Crane Fenton Seniors. A Memorial Service will be held at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St., Port Dickinson, NY Saturday, December 15, 2012, at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Ron Wenzinger officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. No flowers please.
