

Dorothy Forsythe, a long-time resident of Binghamton, died on Thursday, April 28, one day shy of her 89th birthday, in Kingston, New York. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Herbert, in 1994. Dorothy is survived by her son, John, and his wife, Nancy and their daughter Sara, of Saugerties. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces, including Elsie Sosenko, who helped her maintain her independence these last few years. Dorothy worked for many years at Endicott-Johnson and Universal Instruments.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson, NY with the Rev. Dr. Roger DeNoyelles officiating. Burial will follow in the Chenango Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm at the funeral home Monday, May 2, 2011.
